Yoga has proved to be very beneficial to people living with arthritis if done on a regular basis. A lot of people are put off by the thought of having to sit cross-legged or struggle with doing it on the floor. Our adapted yoga sessions, led by a trained instructor, are designed for people with mobility issues, and so are mostly done sitting down. The chairs can also be used for support with standing yoga positions. There is no mystical eastern philosophy involved, merely slow and gentle movements that will increase the range of movement in the body and reduce pain. It is open to members and non-members alike.
